The end of August is approaching, and we are nowhere near done with all the work...but we can tell things are slowing down a bit. Pumpkins and squash are maturing, while we pull out spent plants that were being frantically harvested in July.
In the fall, there is a lot of work to be done. Planning for garlic planting along with closing out the season, while growing a few cool-weather crop for late harvests; our brains are running on all cylinders this time of year. It is nice to take a moment to remember all we've accomplished so far. This plot was empty in April, and it's hard to believe when we look at it today. Watching the sun set over our little plot really pulled at our heartstrings. It's all been a blur, and now we see the end of the season on the horizon.
